Love Potion Brew

This is a fun take on water play! If your toddler is anything like mine then they could play with water for hours on end. Add a little sparkle and “Magic” into the mix and you just doubled your play time and excitement. The idea is simply to gather different supplies to mix into water and create a “love potion”. You can gather similar things to what we used or you can use all natural materials (flower pedals, gems, leaves, etc). Little advice: After you are done with the activity, dump the water and keep everything else because you will most likely be asked to do it again. We played with it 3 days in a row.

Supplies needed:
- Water
- Red Food Coloring
- Pom Poms
- Glitter
- Foam hearts
- Flowers
- Bowl
- Spoon or whisk
- Compartment tray or small bowls
- Floor mat (optional)
Steps:
- Set up an area that is okay for messy play. We love laying out one of our Gathre Mats (Discount code: kayleen10) and doing this type of activity on the floor.
- Set out a tray with compartments like this one or a few small bowls to add your ingredients in.
- Set out a large empty bowl
- Add water and red food coloring into a separate container. (A small measuring cup would be perfect for this)
- Set out a few spoons or a whisk for them to mix the potion.
- Let them get started and watch the Love Potion fun began!
